      The best I can think of right now, is “Dick Strawbridge” from Scrapyard challenge and similar TV shows. great communicator, tells you how things work very clearly

      my favourite engineer is Isambard Kingdom Brunel.
      he was an mechanical and civil engineer from England who built dockyards, the Great Western Railway, a series of steamships including the first propeller-driven transatlantic steamship and numerous important bridges and tunnels. His designs revolutionised public transport and modern engineering.
