• Question: What percentage of your normal day do you spend solving technical engineering problems (if any)?

      i probably spend 50% of my day doing this, the other 50% is contract management.

      I spend about half the day solving problems and the other half doing the management side of the engineering.

      Hello Rattyvlogger,
      I don’t have a normal day, due to working in a research + development environment.
      So, I think I’d average out at 40% tech. problem solving, 30% using that solution on the task in hand, 20% customer services/contact/rapid response, and 10% admin.
      Some days I’m 100% solving problems, some days it’s “leave the brain by the door ” simple stuff.

      I normally spend 80 – 90% of my day solving engineering problems.

      It varies day to day but I would say averaged out over a year it probably works out at somewhere like 50%
