Question: what is a counter sinking tool

I could be cheeky and answer – ” just Goolge it” – but I’m not going to 🙂
counter sinks / countersinking tools are used to make a chamfered edge on the inside of a round hole in an object.
Ideally so you can use countersunk screws, as then the screw head sits flush with the object surface.
The tools look like a piece of round bar, approx 50mm long, ( various sizes are available ) with a conical end that is bigger than the bar section.
The cone usually has an odd shape, so it cuts the chamfer while remaining centred on the middle of the hole.
Usefull little things.
Look them up on websites like “RS components” or “Farnell” or a local toolshop.
