I would say for me I bought an expensive house so I pay about £700 a month on bills with my partner paying another £700 however life is what you make it. You can live cheaper than I do and have plenty of money to do the things you want to.

      Hi,
Gross, I get £2000 per month, and this is roughly how I get rid of that cash.
I get through £1000 a month, most months. that includes food, fuel, the cat, and of course houshold costs.( mortgage, insurance, you name it )
I could cut £350 off that, by not overpaying the mortgage. ( paying too much , helps pay it off quickly = saving me money long term ) have a look at the effects of “compound interest ” in a maths class to see why I’m doing that.
so, that leaves me with around £400 per moth to play with 🙂
the other £500 ? goes in tax / national insurance to pay for things like schools, roads, dustbin emptying, hospitals etc.
