• Question: How many types of engineering are you able to pursue?

      There are many different types of engineering that you can pursue, too many to list but here are a few main ones that I come into contact with:

      Civil Engineer
      Railway Engineer
      Software Engineer
      Lighting Engineer
      Mechanical Engineer
      Electrical Engineer
      Geotechnical Engineer
      Structural Engineer
      Project Engineer

      Totally agree with Ruth, but if you are talking about a change in direction currently being a civil engineer then i could potentially go into Railway Geotechnical, structural and material.

      I am multiskilled, so have loads of skills, and can follow lots of branches of engineering.
      It’s a good thing, as like riding a cycle, some skills are really hard to forget ( like welding )

      It’s best to have a broad eduction / be multiskilled, so if you suddenly need a new job, you should be able to find one quickly, or make one yourself !
