      Quick guide to lasers,
      basically, you amplify ( make bigger ) a pulse of light by adding energy to it.

      The light is usally a fixed frequency ( or wavelegnth, or colour ) that passes out of a laser cavity that makes the first beam. We then send the into amplifiers, which bounce the beam back + forth inside the amplifier until it is strong enough to get through the special mirror on the “out” end of the amplifier
