      Ohhhhh kira18x that’s a difficult question 🙂
Why do I think I’m the best ?
I don’t think I am. there’s always something I haven’t done, something I have yet to master, ( or just understand ) so I’ll probably never be the best engineer in the World. I’ll be very close though 🙂
( from the World of Athletics, there is a saying – “If you are not training, and your rival is, when you meet on track, he will beat you” – I think that sums it up well. )
In a team, I can do any role. Leader or Minion.
I have given talks to public, or school teachers. I lead 2 jogging groups away from work ( in my own time ) so I motivate those folks, and lead 6 or 7 volunteers. At work I may lead a small team, on acertain tasks.
If I find I’m working in a team that’s lacking direction, I will push from within, sometimes means I take control or replace the leader for a while. My boss is understanding 🙂 and knows what I’m good at, and when to let me “off the lead” etc.
That’s all part of managment training – it’s about knowing when to do something, and how to do it. takes time to understand management isn’t just fo the CEO, it’s for everyone. Changing how I talk to people helps, I am comfotable talking about science + work to children ( under 10 ) to adults who have seen a lot of the wrold, or who are Proffessors ! so I have to adjust content + tone + delivery to suit the group/team etc.
      hope that helps,
      Graham
